Review of related literature-

Review of related literature is very important part of the research. The review of related literature is a search and evaluation of the related topic or subject or the area selected. It is survey of the literature of the subject. The researcher faces some problem in her/his carrier rather in teaching profession. Teacher wants to solve the problem on her/ his own. The researcher should have sufficient knowledge and information about the topic or the area to solve the problem. Researcher has to read the books, magazines, journals to gather the required information. Hence it is necessary to review the literature. Similarly it is required to review the dissertation of previous researches to find out whether anybody has faced the same problem in the same topic or in the same area. Review of related dissertation help the researcher to find out the way of that researcher has solved the problem. Researcher has to read the dissertation related to her/his topic to get the idea. The reader gets idea of the depth of the knowledge from the review done by the researcher.

Importance of review of related literature and dissertation-

1.      The review of related literature enables the researcher to define limits of the research field.

2.      It enhances the knowledge related to the subject chosen for research.

7.      It gives understanding of research methodology to the researcher.

8.      It provides information about statistical techniques to analyze the gathered data.

9.      The conclusion drawn by the other researchers is useful to researcher in her/his research work.

10.  The researcher gets technical information about report writing, various divisions of the report.

11.  It helps researcher to save his time and efforts.

12.  The important reason for reviewing related dissertations is to know the recommendations of previous researcher listed in their report for further research.
